How much does modernization cost?
There is no fixed price for modernization because the scope depends on the state of your store, the number of custom modules, and the depth of the required changes. We do not name a number blind. First we run the €250 audit and deliver a written report in five business days, and only after that we build a real quote tailored to your store.
Do we need to take the store offline during the work?
No. All work happens on a staging copy of the store. Your production keeps taking orders. The cutover to the modernized version happens in a low traffic window, and downtime is measured in minutes, not hours.
What if my store is on a very old Joomla, like 2.5 or 3.x?
We work with those too. Moving from Joomla 2.5 or 3.x to the current branch happens in staged steps with data, template, and module migration between them. It takes longer and costs more than an upgrade from 4.x, but it is real, and it is much cheaper than a full rebuild. The audit will show how many stages you actually need.
Can I book only part of the work, like security only or speed only?
Yes. After the audit you see the full list of what needs attention and you decide the priority. We can deliver security only, SEO only, speed only, or start with whatever is most critical and expand from there.
Why do you not recommend moving to PrestaShop, Shopify or Magento 2?
Because a CMS migration is a separate large project with data migration, integration rewrites, several months of SEO position loss, and a budget several times larger than modernization.
