Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to ecommercerescue.com.


Conformance status

This website targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, conformance level AA. We audit against this standard and fix findings as part of regular development work.



Measures we take

Our approach to accessibility on ecommercerescue.com:

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks and heading hierarchy.
  • Colour contrast at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for user interface elements.
  • Visible keyboard focus on all interactive elements.
  • Skip link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • Full keyboard navigation across menus, forms, and the cookie consent dialog.
  • Cookie consent modal with focus trap, Escape key support, and focus return on close.
  • Language attributes on every page and on language switcher links.
  • Respect for the operating system setting for reduced motion.
  • Text alternatives for images and hidden semantics for decorative icons.
  • Form fields with associated labels and accessible error messages.

Known limitations

We are honest about where the site is today. This is our MVP release. The following items are on our roadmap:

  • The current base font size is 16 pixels. We are moving to 18 pixels or above for better readability, especially for our audience of small business owners in the 40 to 55 age range.
  • Some form widgets do not yet expose the full accessibility description chain from field to helper text. Screen reader users can complete the forms, but the experience will improve after our next form component refactor.
  • Text column widths on long articles occasionally exceed the recommended 75 characters per line.

We plan to close these items during the next design iteration.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this website relies on HTML5, CSS (Tailwind), a small vanilla JavaScript layer, and ARIA attributes. These technologies are used in accordance with published standards. The site is tested against current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop, and on iOS and Android on mobile.

We aim to respond within five working days.

Enforcement procedure

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 25 September 2026 based on an internal accessibility audit of the current site. We review and update it at least once every twelve months, or whenever we ship a significant change to the site.
